Register for and pass the Property, Casualty and Allied Lines exam through Pearson VUE (888-204-6255 or pearsonvue.com)
Obtain fingerprint cards from the Kansas Insurance Department and have prints taken by a qualified law enforcement officer
Mail completed fingerprint cards to the Kansas Insurance Department with $60 fee
Apply for tax clearance with the Kansas Department of Revenue and email it to KID.licensing@ks.gov with 'Tax Clearance' in the subject line
Complete the NAIC Uniform Application through NIPR
Pay the $30 application fee
Obtain appointment from at least one insurance carrier

Regulatory Board
Unique to Kansas: Kansas uniquely requires applicants to obtain a tax clearance from the Kansas Department of Revenue and email it to the Department of Insurance. Fingerprinting is done via physical ink cards that must be mailed (not electronic live scan). Kansas also has a lower CE requirement of 18 hours per renewal period compared to the more common 24 hours.
