Oregon participates in NIPR and has reciprocity arrangements with most states. Non-resident producers with active home state licenses can obtain Oregon licenses. Non-resident agents are exempt from Oregon CE if they meet home state requirements.

24 hours of CE per 2-year renewal cycle. 3 hours must be in ethics. 3 hours must be in Oregon statutes and administrative rules. License expires on last day of birth month every 2 years. Non-resident agents are exempt if they meet home state CE requirements.
Regulatory Board
Unique to Oregon: Oregon has a distinctive same-day fingerprinting requirement: you must complete fingerprinting at the PSI testing center on the same day you pass the exam. This means you cannot take the exam remotely and must test at an Oregon PSI location. Oregon also uniquely requires 3 hours of state-specific statutes and administrative rules as part of CE, in addition to the standard 3 hours of ethics.
