24 hours of CE per biennial renewal cycle, with 3 hours in ethics. Of the 24 hours, 12 must be classroom or classroom-equivalent education (instructor and students interact remotely via video-conferencing). One credit hour of ethics may be substituted with one credit hour related to insurance fraud. Producers selling annuity products must complete additional annuity best interest training.

Unique to New Jersey: New Jersey is one of the few states that separates Property and Casualty into distinct exams rather than offering a combined P&C exam. Additionally, NJ requires that half of CE hours (12 of 24) be completed in a classroom or live video-conferencing format rather than self-study.
