Unique to Connecticut: Connecticut has among the highest licensing fees in the country with a $140 license fee on top of a $50 application fee ($190 total before exam fees). The state also has a notably high renewal fee of $160 that doubles to $320 for late renewals. Despite the high costs, Connecticut does not require fingerprinting and has relatively standard 20-hour per line pre-licensing education requirements.
