Regulatory Board
Unique to Maryland: Maryland recently (October 2024) eliminated its pre-licensing education requirement, joining the group of states that do not mandate pre-licensing hours. The state has relatively low fees ($54 application, $69 renewal) and accepts ITIN for non-citizen applicants. The fingerprinting requirement is a point of conflicting information among sources.
