Wyoming uniquely requires the jurisprudence exam to be passed not only for initial licensure but also during each biennial renewal cycle as a continuing competence requirement. The state also requires all applications to be signed, notarized, and submitted by mail rather than online. Wyoming is one of the few states that is not a PT Compact member.
Wyoming offers unrestricted direct access to physical therapy; no physician referral is required.
Dry needling requires a minimum of 27 hours of live face-to-face instruction; online courses are not accepted. PTAs and aides may not perform dry needling.
Jurisprudence exam (75% passing score) is required for initial licensure and must be completed each biennial renewal cycle as a continuing competence requirement.
Wyoming is NOT a PT Compact member state.
