Unique to Hawaii: Hawaii uniquely does not allow any professional insurance designations (like CPCU or CLU) as exemptions to licensing examinations - you must pass the state exam regardless of credentials. The state also has a generous exam pricing structure where any two exams can be taken in one session for $75. Hawaii charges a $1.00 per CE credit hour state reporting fee, and has a strict 60-day window from fingerprinting to application submission.
