To get a Missouri real estate license in 2026, you must complete 72 hours of Missouri Real Estate Commission-approved pre-licensing education, pass a background check, take and pass the PSI licensing exam, and find a sponsoring broker. Most applicants finish in 8–16 weeks and spend $345–$696 including course tuition.

Retake Policy
Unlimited retakes. If you pass one portion, you may retake only the failed portion within 6 months. After 6 months, must retake both portions. Same fee per attempt.
MO state portion has higher 75% passing threshold. Test centers: St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Jefferson City, West Plains. Exams offered 5 days/week plus one Saturday/month rotating. Results: pass/fail only (no numerical grade). Free rescheduling minimum 2 days before exam.
