Hawaii was the LAST state to require any pharmacy technician registration. Registration became mandatory January 1, 2026 under Act 93 (2025), signed May 27, 2025 (HB 72). No 'renewal' — must re-apply each cycle (valid through Dec 31 of odd years). Certificate must be displayed prominently. Fee $20 per SD1 (check Board for current). Paper applications only. No state CE required. No fingerprinting.
