The state mandates an 8-hour laws and rules course and requires specific post-licensure courses in HIV/AIDS and domestic violence within 6 months of initial licensure. Florida uses the unique RMHCI (Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern) designation rather than a traditional associate license.
