Arkansas has a distinctive two-exam pathway: the NCE is required for the LAC (associate) level, and the NCMHCE is required to advance to the full LPC level. The Board may also credit additional graduate coursework toward supervised experience hours at a rate of 30 semester credits per 1,000 hours, up to 2,000 hours.
