The 40-hour Lethal Weapons Training Act course for armed PIs is one of the most extensive. The application fee is $200. Renewal costs $200. Licenses renew every 2 years. 3 years of qualifying experience are required. A surety bond of $10,000 is required. Neighboring states include Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, each with their own private investigator requirements.
