Michigan had NO regulation of dietitians for approximately 10 years after repealing its licensing law. HB 4608 (signed April 2024) re-establishes licensure, but the program is still being implemented. The Board of Dietetics and Nutrition has been appointed and rules approved (October 2025), but applications are not yet being accepted as of March 2026.
