These are the standard licensing steps in Oregon. As a licensed real estate agent from California, you may already satisfy some of these requirements.
Register in eLicense Portal and Submit Application: Create account at orea.elicense.micropact.com. Submit application and pay $300 non-refundable fee. Receive Applicant ID.
Complete 150 Hours of Pre-Licensing Education: Take 7 OREA-approved courses totaling 150 hours. Provide school with Applicant ID. School reports completion to OREA.
Schedule and Pass the PSI Exam: Register at test-takers.psiexams.com/orre. Pay $75 exam fee. Pass both National (60/80 = 75%) and State (38/50 = 75%) sections.
Complete Fingerprinting: Submit fingerprints at PSI test center (can be done immediately after passing exam). Cost: ~$61.25.
Wait for Background Check Clearance: Oregon State Police + FBI processing. Takes 3–4 weeks.
Secure Sponsorship from a Managing Principal Broker: Managing Principal Broker adds your pending license to their RBN in eLicense.
License Issued: OREA completes final review and issues license.
