These are the standard licensing steps in Nevada. As a licensed real estate agent from California, you may already satisfy some of these requirements.
Complete 120 Hours of Pre-Licensing Education: Take 4 NRED-approved courses: Principles (45 hrs), Law (45 hrs), Contracts (15 hrs), Agency (15 hrs).
Register on NRED Website and Pay Exam Fee: Register at red.prod.secure.nv.gov. Pay $100 exam fee. Receive Authorization to Test email from Pearson VUE (2–3 business days).
Schedule and Pass the Pearson VUE Exam: Schedule after receiving authorization. Pass both National (60/80 = 75%) and State (30/40 = 75%) sections.
Complete Fingerprinting and Background Check: Complete background waiver form first. Get fingerprinted at approved vendor (~$65) or mail in ($40.25). Processing: 6–8 weeks.
Find a Sponsoring Broker: Secure sponsorship from a licensed Nevada broker.
Submit License Application (Form 549): Submit to NRED with all required documents and $140 fee.
