Connecticut has limited or no reciprocity
Connecticut does not have reciprocal agreements with any other state. All applicants must meet Connecticut-specific requirements and pass the state exam.

Register as an electrical apprentice with the CT Department of Labor and complete 8,000 hours OJT + 576 hours classroom instruction
Submit E-2 Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson application to CT DCP with required documentation
Pay $90 application fee to DCP and $65 exam fee to PSI
Schedule and pass the PSI journeyperson exam (80 questions, 3.5 hours, 70% passing, open-book)
Receive E-2 journeyperson license from DCP
After 2 years as E-2, may apply for E-1 Unlimited Electrical Contractor ($150 application + $65 exam)
Pass the contractor exam (100 questions, 4 hours, 70% passing, open-book)
