Nevada accepts out-of-state cna credentials
Nevada accepts CNAs from other states through endorsement; must submit proof of out-of-state certification, training documentation, employment verification, and fingerprint clearance
These are the standard licensing steps in Nevada. As a licensed cna from California, you may already satisfy some of these requirements.
Complete a state-approved CNA training program (minimum 75 hours: 60 theory/lab + 16 clinical)
Submit application and $50 fee to Nevada State Board of Nursing
Complete fingerprint-based background check through Nevada DPS and FBI
Create account on Credentia CNA365 platform and schedule exam
Pass both the written knowledge test (70 questions, 2-hour limit) and the skills evaluation (5 tasks, 30-minute limit)
Upon passing, be placed on the Nevada Nurse Aide Registry
Timeline varies based on your credentials, reciprocity eligibility, and Nevada's current processing times. Contact the state licensing board for current estimates.
