To renew your North Carolina real estate license, you must complete 8 hours of continuing education every 1 year, including General Update (Provisional Brokers). Renewal fees are $50. June 30 annually. Renewal window: May 15 – June 30. CE must be completed by June 10. Online renewal required. Most agents complete CE online through an approved provider.

No CE required during the license period in which license is first issued. CE required starting with second renewal. Separately, 90 hours of postlicensing education must be completed within 18 months of initial licensure.
