New Jersey Real Estate Agent CE Requirements (2026)

To renew your New Jersey real estate license, you must complete 12 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including Ethics, Fair Housing and NJ Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD), Agency, and Additional Core Topics. Renewal fees are $90. License renewal deadline: June 30 of odd-numbered years. CE completion deadline: April 30 of the renewal year. Most agents complete CE online through an approved provider.

First-time renewal?

Licensees who obtain their license in the second year of a renewal term are exempt from CE requirements for that renewal term.
