To renew your Maryland real estate license, you must complete 15 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including Maryland Code of Ethics / MREC Legislative Update, Fair Housing, and Maryland Agency Law. Renewal fees are $50. Biennial from date of issuance. CE must be completed 30 days before renewal date (effective Oct 1, 2024). Most agents complete CE online through an approved provider.

Licensees obtaining license after Oct 1, 2023 have 6 mandatory CE topic areas for first renewal totaling 15 hours. Out-of-state CE cannot be substituted.
