Effective July 1, 2025: Associate Brokers, Brokers, and Qualifying Brokers must complete 18 hrs of broker-specific CE within the 36-hr total. Topics: training Licensees, supervising Licensees, reviewing Brokerage Agreements, managing a Firm. Does NOT apply to Salespersons or CAM Licensees. Non-resident Brokers exempt
Salespersons: 33 hrs electives (after 3-hr License Law). Brokers: 15 hrs electives (after 3-hr License Law + 18-hr Broker CE). Elective topics include contracts, ethics, fair housing, real estate finance from GREC-approved providers
Notes
36 hrs over 4-year cycle. Licenses expire last day of licensee's birth month. Salespersons need 33 electives + 3 License Law. Brokers (as of July 1, 2025) need 15 electives + 18 Broker CE + 3 License Law. Licensees with license number <100,000 are exempt from CE entirely (grandfathered from pre-1980). First-time renewal: 9 hrs of the 25-hr Salesperson Post-License course count toward the 36-hr CE (so only 27 additional CE hrs needed).
